March was a bitter cold month. Every time you thought the snow would be over, more snow would come down. Such a crazy winter. Jenn and I both caught the flu so it pretty much killed our Easter weekend. Although we watched tons of movies!

First day back without Jenn. Feels kinda weird with the place half-empty. Well my room is kind of half empty. The office is still pretty full my with stuff. Moreso with the cards I've been getting lately. I was off-site today working on some of the BlackBerry Certification stuff. I miss those free breakfast and lunch meals. So nice to have. I wish all my food was catered to me. Well, not all, I would miss the cooking aspect of it I guess.
The fog in the afternoon was crazy! When driving home I couldn't see 20 feet ahead of me. It was eerie driving in downtown Kitchener completely surrounded by fog. Looks like warm weather is starting. I'll be glad to be rid of the cold snowy winter. Hmmm...when I think about it, we never hit the negative 30s this winter. I'm glad we didn't but all the snow didn't help either.
BTW, has anyone seen the trailer for Mark Millar's Wanted? It's got Angelina Jolie in it and it looks pretty good. However, the character Jolie plays is black in the comic books. Guess they changed the part of her huh? I so didn't realize that there was a new Mummy movie coming out this summer as well. Oooh...Hellboy too! This is gonna be a great summer for movies. I don't really want to watch Iron Man, but I probably will. I'm getting sick of the Marvel movies. They're starting to suck big time. I've heard that Incredible Hulk is pretty stupid (due to Ed Norton). We'll see if that's something I'll watch on the big screen. I skipped the first one so it's likely I'll skip this one.

Today was much better and although work was busy again, it was still a good day. I was hyper for some reason, must have been all the energy that I didn't expend over the last few days. There was this health thing at work and we got ourselves measured for different things. Good points: I'm about 160 lbs. now. Woohoo! My resting heart rate is 66 which is fairly decent. Bad things. I can't stretch. My body fat is like 20 percent. Ewwwwww. I guess I still need to work out more. Run, Fatboy, Run.

So I caught the flu from Jenn. I was starting to feel it on Sunday so we decided to prepare for the worst and make congee and drink lots of water. Luckily, Jenn seemed to be recovering from her bout with the flu. We spent most of Sunday watching movies. Watched a total of 4 movies. Some were good and some were so-so but they were all movies I've been wanting to watch. They were, in no particular order, Norbit, Rush Hour 3, Hitman and Alvin and the Chipmunks. I also saw Good Luck Chuck and Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium on the other days as well. This was what I missed about being really sick I guess, all the sitting around and doing nothing. Sweet.
I'm almost good as new now but stuck with a running nose and slight congestion. The really crappy thing about sleeping so much was that my lower back was really sore and I've been feeling it for the last few days. Didn't help that I shovelled snow when I got back from work either.
The cool news is that I got my Indiana Jones Heritage case in and I pulled a great sketch card by Mark McHaley. I didn't get the a sketch/auto per box though so that was disappointing. Topps once again used Ryan Waterhouse to water down the sketches which seemed to have really pissed a lot of people off. I couldn't blame them if you buy a case of cards or even a box of cards and the sketch is a little simple. Oh well. I got one of his monkey sketches and it's okay I guess. I still have to post this and like 4 other sets up on the site with the breakdowns. The funny thing is that I've sold some of those cards I got already so I just have the picture now.

Jenn caught the flu from a co-worker and she got pretty sick Thursday. She was pretty out of it for Friday while I worked and I tried to make some chicken soup for her that night. Word of advice, do not buy the cheap-ass chicken noodle soup from the grocery store. There is soooo much oil in the can it's so disgusting. I had to remove a fifth of the soup due to the oil. Eeewww.
Jenn's still kinda sick today so I'll probably spend the rest of the day taking care of her and doing errands at home. I do have to go workout though. Man, the weather is getting pretty nice though it is taking a while for the snow to melt. Went to Food Basics to buy some groceries. Holy Cow is that place ever crazy.

Poor Eliot Spitzer. The former governor of New York was unfortunate to get caught paying for the services of a "Kristen" from a prostitution ring. Another politican shrouded in scandal. Of course, the replacement is a blind, afro-American politician. You have to love American politics. Much more exciting than Canadian politics. Canadian politics have got to be one of the most boring things on the planet. In asian countries, politicians attack each other. I think Europe has those as well. European politicans are always surrounded by scandals (Italy, UK, France, German, etc). The South Americans have Hugo Chavez and the Africans have plenty of nut-jobs and head-cases whole want to be heads of states. The Americans themselves have enough scandals to last several reality tv shows. What do Canadians get? Politicians getting in trouble for name-calling, minor kick-back scandals and...I'm out of things here already. Hell, Conrad Black is more exciting. Bleh.
On the topic of scandals, I took me a good month to hear about the Edison Chen pictures. Too funny. I found an entire archive of the pictures and y'know what...they were absolutely boring. Most of the famous girls were way too skinny and you can see better blowjobs from better looking women on free porn sites. I guess it's because these women were famous (and stupid enough to be filmed) and some were even engaged/married. Chinese honour immediately demands that these women be absolutely humiliated and shamed while everyone else goes home and does the exact same things they do. Too funny. I wonder if Edison Chen did this on purpose to gain notoriety and fame so his career in Hollywood would excel. We all know that Hollywood loves scandals, especially naked scandals with famous naked actresses.
Shit, my neck is cramping up for some unknown reason. Man I am getting wy too old for this shit.

Back from Toronto and my back is killing me. A couple of snow storms ago, I was shovelling snow for a good two hours and I think I strained my lower back. I was in pain for a few days and it just re-aggrevated my old back injuries. So shovelling snow has been a very careful affair after that incident. It kinda sucks right now since any type of stress on my lower back aggrevates it. I don't know what I did the last few days but man, does it hurt. Just makes me feel that much older I guess.
Went to bubbles with Dave and Larry on Friday. It was another 2-3 months since I saw them last. Two far in-between meetings. I haven't even had time to even consider going to Ottawa to visit Mark. Anyways, Go For Tea was fairly busy due to the influx of teenagers from March Break. I felt very old once again. One funny thing I observed was that the place must have had some new waitresses that didn't know the menu. It was confirmed that they were new since they smiled so often. Almost I the Go For Tea waitress I've seen never smile LOL.
The Leafs lost big against Buffalo on Saturday. Of course the media jumped on that lost and have proclaimed the season to be over. Yeah...we all knew that the Leafs were not going to go on a winning streak for the last 12 games. Hope is strong in the Leaf Nation! I still wouldn't mind the Leafs winning as many games as they can. Let's show them that they're still competitive and end the season with a bang. Sure, the draft pick won't be as juicy but it's not like the Leafs had a chance to pull a franchise player. Take some time to undo the contract disasters that Ferguson created and get things rolling for next year. Re-sign Sundin!
I may not get a post in tomorrow so have a great St. Patrick's Day everyone!!!!

Played in a tournament for Call of Duty 4 on Tuesday night! It was so fun. It was with co-workers and man was it a blast! Since I only play about once a week though, I kinda suck at times. My best strategy right now is to use an assault rifle with a silencer so people can't find me when I'm shooting. It's pretty fun with the assault rifle. I'm still so amazed at the level of detail while fighting. My computer sucks so bad compared to my laptop right now...sigh.
I think I'm still reeling from Daylight Savings Time last weekend. I've been tired all week even though I'm sleeping okay. I'm such a wimp now when I think about it. Jenn keeps saying it's cuz I'm getting older but I don't believe her LOL. Although I've been thinking about CCSA softball and whether I'd really be able to play a full season again. I was already in pain the last time I played. I can't imagine playing a full season without a serious workout.
The Leafs are barely staying alive. After trading Hal Gill, Chad Kilger and Wade Belak, the boys in blue have managed to win a lot of games lately. Will they make the playoffs? I don't think they will but I sure hope they do! It will be nice for a change to see them playing in the playoffs, at least for one round. If they don't make it, it will be three seasons in a row. I'm kinda glad the Leafs are still trying to win and not throwing the rest of the season out the window to get a good draft pick. Paul Maurice's job is on the line I guess so he's sticking with Toskala. Who can blame him? At least the games are still entertaining to watch.

Okay. No entries for the entire February. I decided that February was going to be my month off for the year. Since it is a Leap year, why not leap an entire month on the website. The hiatus was enjoyable. I opened up a few more boxes of cards and played Call of Duty 4. That game is so addictive. I don't play much (about once a week) with co-workers. It's a good amount I guess, but I always get the itch to play more.
It's been snowing like crazy in Ontario in February. Well, even last weekend there was 50 cm of snow. I haven't seen this much snow in a very long time. With the lack of snow plows on my road, the enormous potholes on the roads and the crazy drivers, it's been a hellish winter. What really sucks is I've shovelled the snow probably 5 or 6 times now...All the heavy downfalls. I think my roommates shovelled maybe twice? And not the greatest job either. So of course my back was somewhat injured one of those times. I was sore for a few days. Those lower back injuries are the worst. Jenn helped with the shovelling last weekend and thankfully she said we'd get a snowblower when we have our own place.
Lots of updates should be posted on the website soon enough. I have box breakdowns for Donruss Americana, Heroes, Marvel Masterpieces, Lord of the Rings Masterpieces 2 and later in the month, Indiana Jones Heritage. Also, the new 2008 line of Star Wars LEGO is officially out so I can grab a few box pics to update the Star Wars LEGO section. I'm thinking of eventually starting up the movie reviews, finishing the TV section and posting some more Top 8s. Hopefully I have the time for it.
Work has been crazy busy and it's difficult to come home and work on the website. It's absolutely draining to come home everyday and stare at the computer again. It's even tougher with Jenn commuting and driving back and forth between the bus station and home and also our workouts. Hopefully one 3-4 more months of this and I'll be back in Toronto.
Anyways, just posting a quick blurb to let everyone know I'm not dead or missing. Cheers.
