Only two entries before my trip to Vegas. FAIL.
Tuesday, March 30th, 2009
It's hard to imagine that in less than a week I'll be in Las Vegas enjoying the sins of Sin City! Woot! Woot! Yeah it's an odd place to go two months after you get married but we both wanted to go there and now seems to be the best time. I'll be sure to take lots and lots of pictures with my dinky 3.2 MP camera from like 7 years ago.
I've been trying to convince Jenn that I need to get an DSLR camera. Not the really expensive ones but something in the mid to low range for some hobby pictures. I'd rather get a camera that will last a while than a camera that I have to replace every few years. So far, it hasn't been too successful as the prices aren't really justifiable considering we rarely take pictures anyways. We also need to eventually get a camcorder too. Man, trying to read up on all the new models has been such a chore. It's weird, I've lost the excitement for technology nowadays. Maybe too much science fiction has me going "meh" to all these cool new gadgets.
Ooo...we went to see the Toronto Symphony play at Roy Thompson Hall this weekend. It's been ages since I was there (junior high?) and the music was awesome. Granted, I think I need a few more concerts to really get back into classical music. I used to listen to a lot of it when I was younger although I never paid attention to the composers and such. The only annoying thing during the concert was this couple beside me who came in late, then started talking and then the asshole boyfriend starts using his BlackBerry. Idiots.
Aight, will try to post again tomorrow to have at least 3 entries for March LOL.

Have you seen Watchmen yet?! What?! No?! Go watch it! Wait Wait! Go read the trade paperback first and then go watch it! Neglected updating the site again...sigh. Jenn and I went to watch Watchmen during the first week it was out. I loved the movie and so did Jenn. I think reviews of the movie were mixed. A lot of people I know didn't like the movie and thougt it was boring. Others really enjoyed it. I think it was a love it or hate it movie. Zack Snyder did an incredible job bringing the trade paperback to film. I would say the film is a cousin of the trade paperback but enjoyable nonetheless. I was never looking for a full translation of the book and I was pleasantly surprised at how many things from the book were kept. Anyways, I think the movie is more enjoyable if you read the trade paperback first. Trust me, you'll appreciate the movie more :)
So during this time between updates, the NHL trade deadline passed and the Leafs traded Nik Antropov and Dominic Moore away for draft picks. I'm sad to see both go as I think they were two of the better offensive players for Toronto. Although I see the reason why they were traded. The Leafs got some 2nd round picks for them so it's a good step towards rebuilding. I don't think Burke would have re-signed Antropov and Moore so this was definitely the best situation. After the trades we got to see some more youngsters playo n the Leafs roster. I'm glad to see the Leafs finally trying to develop their prospects and not spending their money on free agents. Sure, there may be a few more losing seasons but I'm willing to see where Burke and Wilson take this team.
