Bench Warmer 2006 Series 2 - Box Breakdown

Summary - April 2007

I've been eagerly anticipating this series release after buying some boxes of 2006 Series I. I didn't think these cards would be that great. Sure there were half-naked women on the cards in various skimpy outfits. But it was the quality of the cards that really appealed to me. The cards themselves are a thick card stock and very glossy as well. Sure the cards don't have a lot of information and the layout is very plain, but I didn't mind it. The card are very similar to Rittenhouse Archives thicker cards.

With the Bench Warmer cards, it is almost impossible to get a full master set. You just collect what you want to really. There are too many releases in the year to really collect all the different cards within reason. With that said, I really like the insert sets. The idea of high numbers (1:4 packs) is great. Almost half the packs have some sort of special card which I really enjoy opening up.

A well done series, but after Series I, the Holiday Set and Series II, I don't think I'm gonna buy too many boxes of the 2007 Signature Series or 2007 Gold Edition. There are just too many releases to keep up with.
