Reviews - 52 Week Fourteen

52 Week Fourteen

This week's 52 deals with quite a few plots.

The first is Renee Montoya and the Question traveling to Kahndaq to follow the trail of Intergang's weapons smuggling. We get a glimpse of the new Kahndaq with as Black Adam has a new queen to rule with him, Isis. Montoya and the Question manage to track down the smugglers; only to find that someone has beat them to it. As they leave, they're trapped by Kahndaq forces.

John Henry aka Steel is still dealing with the shocking news that her niece, Natasha, has joined Lex Luthor's Metahuman program. We also get to see the new Steel armor that appears in the One Year Later stories that are happening now.

We're then privy to Doctor Magnus trying to revive the Metal Men. The United States government makes a veiled threat to get Magnus to reveal his methods in animating his androids. Magnus tries to explain that the Responsometer isn't working anymore. We learn that Professor Morrow, whom Magnus has been visiting, has escaped from prison and gives Magnus a parting gift.

Lots of things happening during this issue of 52. Out of the three storylines covered, I'm really enjoying Montoya and the Question. I especially like how the writers are starting to tie events in 52 together. There's no doubt that Black Adam's storyline will mix with Montoya and the Question's storyline. It will be interesting to see what John Henry does from here as well and it's good to see the return of the Metal Men.

Dale Eaglesham's art has always been consistent. Not too glamourous but still enjoyable. I'm still enjoying the series and as the various storylines develop, I'm willing to follow them to their conclusion.

Another solid week by the 52 posse.
