Star Wars LEGO - 2007 - Year Nine
The 2007 sets Wave I are out and some (Clone Trooper Battle Pack) are difficult to find. The new sets are a mix of new and old (redesigned) models. I love the new sets released for the Classic series. I'm still not too keen on the prequel stuff. However, if the Clone Trooper Battle Pack gets cheaper, I might pick up a few more to add to my armies.

LEGO has finally been allowed to produce minifig packs for the mass market. It's most likely due to the 30th Anniversary of the first Star Wars movie and the fact that Star Wars LEGO sells so well nowadays. For Battle Droid loves, this set has 4 Battle Droids plus 3 Super Battle Droids. That's a pretty good set for 13 bucks CAD.

With this year's release of sets, LEGO has decided to make custom guns for the minifigs. So the Clone Troopers Battle Pack has 4 custom guns. I think the set is a little pricey for only 4 minifigs. I remember getting 7 Space minifigs for 7 bucks. Of course, this is Star Wars and LEGO has had a tendency not include a fair number of minifigs in the Star Wars sets. I'm waiting for the Classic Trooper Pack.

This set does not appeal to me at all. The General Grievous minifig isn't too appealing to me and the starfighter looks a little bland. As with most of the prequel sets, I'm not looking to pick this up anytime soon.

YesSteve's Comments:
This is what the original AT-ST should have been. Granted the old set had a much lower price point, I think LEGO made the correct decision in increasing the cost of this model to give it more pieces to work with. If I can a few more of these for cheap, I'd buy them without hesitation. Great set.

YesSteve's Comments:
A redesign of the Y-wing again. This one looks much better than any of the its predecessors. My only real beef with this set is that it comes with one minifig and an astromech droid. For over 50 dollars, I really expect more minifigs. Otherwise another good Classic set from LEGO.

This set has a removable cargo bay for the troopers and two missile launchers. It's a NEW set in the classic universe and not some reworked model or re-issue of an old set. By far, this has been the most anticipated set for me.

This set is absolutely AMAZING!!! The box is so huge and I have no idea where to begin when building this set. The set itself is gorgeous! Though the finished product is really too large to put on a shelf, people will need to find a fairly large case to display this beauty.
